Love Songs Only is a Valentine’s Day Prom taking place on the 9th of February in Cyprus Avenue, Cork.
The event, which is a fundraiser for Marymount Hospice, will feature House of Mockie Ah’s amazing drag performer extraordinaire Mia Gold, along with two musical acts, which include the country’s finest Beatles cover band, The Beatlebums and Cork Ska legends, Pontious Pilate & The Naildrivers.
There will be fantastic spot prizes on the night, and attendees are encouraged to don their best retro clobber; prom dresses, ruffles, velvet suits and dickie bows. The event guarantees to transport their prom goers to a cinematic, multi-decade high school extravaganza!
Prize categories on the night include:
• Best Dressed 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s
• Best Valentines Day themed outfit
This event is the grand finale of the Marymount Car Raffle Fundraiser. The car raffle draw will be held on the 14th of February and the winner will receive a brand new Toyota Yaris Hybrid Luna, donated to Marymount by the one and only Roy Keane for the car raffle! (How many people can say that Roy Keane purchased their car for them?!)
This means that ALL car-raffle tickets purchased are a direct donation to Marymount. Tickets for the Love Songs Only prom are €20 each and include entry into the car raffle!
