The Counting House will reopen to the public for a craft market this month

Cork has been eagerly awaiting the iconic building’s reopening.

The Beamish & Crawford Counting House on South Main Street will finally reopen for a craft fair and market this May, having undergone significant restorations.

STAMP festival is a collaboration between four Cork art, design and craft organisations who are teaming up to to celebrate and support local creativity at the former Beamish & Crawford Counting House site.

Cork Craft and Design, Benchspace, Sample-Studios and Shandon Art Studios will be teaming up to offer Corkonians a jam-packed weekend programme of over 50 art, design, and craft events, workshops, markets, screenings and exhibitions.

The festival will offer a glimpse inside this unique building to enjoy event highlights such as a market in the Counting House plaza, craft and design demos, artist-led workshops and a group exhibition showcasing the works of local artists, designers and craftspeople, all taking place inside the former brewery beautifully restored by BAM.

Visitors to the STAMP festival are invited to try hands-on workshops including screen printing, basket weaving, pottery wheel throwing, and frame making and also to view jewellery making, woodturning and oil painting up close in a series of live demos.
