12,000 coloured balls will roll down Patrick’s Hill on March 18th

And all are welcome!

A spectacular fundraiser event will be returning to Cork next weekend, and it’s not one to be missed.

A total of 12,000 coloured balls will be released down Patricks’ Hill on Monday March 18th in an effort to raise funds for the people of Gaza and other local charities.

Run by the Lions Club, the annual event is a favourite amongst Corkonians. Each ball is individually numbered and released from a cage at the top of Patrick’s Hill. The balls are then guided down the hill via barricades on either side and gathered into a trap at the bottom.

The first six balls to enter the trap will win a cash prize and spectators can purchase a ball on the day or via the Lions Club website for just €2, with all proceeds going to the selected charities.

The event kicks off at 2pm on March 18th – it’s family-friendly and all are welcome to take part.
