Get down to Youghal next week for the annual Moby Dick Festival

You won’t want to miss this! From Friday to Sunday (31 st of May to the 2 nd of June) there’ll
be a Moby Dick Festival taking place in Youghal, East Cork.

Organised by Youghal4All, the voluntary group in the town, the weekend will be packed with activities for people of all ages. This year’s festival will certainly be special, as it will be the 70th anniversary of parts of the movie “Moby Dick” being filmed in Youghal.

To open the festival, Davy Russell will perform on the Friday! As well as that, there’ll be plenty to do over the weekend, like a puppet show at Barry’s Lane at 1:30pm and a teddy bear’s picnic on the Sunday at 4pm in Green Park.

Make sure your teddies are up for a busy day because at the picnic there will be a magic show, games, and music by DJ Ger.

Before that, at 2:30pm in the park on Sunday, there’ll be a dog show. Categories include
best puppy, best mixed breed, best pure breed, best trick, waggiest tail, and best rescue
dog. Too cute!

Get your best gear out for the fancy dress on Friday at 6:30pm in Nealon’s Quay because
there will be prizes for kids as well as the adults.

You’ll be able to hear music throughout the weekend by The Loungeman as well as The
Coolahoops. Check out Youghal4All’s Instagram page here to keep up to date with the
festival!
