And the menu looks seriously tasty!
It’s that time of year again, and the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival is just around the corner.
This years event is the first ‘proper’ Jazz festival since the pandemic, and it’s expected to be bigger and better than ever. Venues across Cork city will be absolutely chock-a-block for the festival and there’s sure to be an electric atmosphere all weekend.
To celebrate the festivities, one of Cork’s most beloved restaurants ‘The Bookshelf’ are hosting a special 2-day Jazz Supper Club event complete with a live singer and 4-course menu from October 28th-29th. Created by talented Head Chef Rebekah Harrington and her team, this 4-course set menu dinner will be held at their more elegant Elysian restaurant.
Head chef Rebekah has paired up with wine suppliers Le Caveau Wine Merchants to marry a menu that is full of a spectrum of amazing flavours with the most interesting natural & organic wines they could offer.
Some stand-out items from this tasty menu include the the featherblade beef tacos, the pan-fried cod, the pork neck Ragu and the chocolate chip cookie sandwich (drooling!) To accompany your meal on both nights there will be a special performance by singer Sal – Sal will be serenading guests from 6-8:30pm on the Friday and from 7-9pm on the Saturday.
Speaking to Craving Cork about the Jazz Supper Club, owner Paul O’Carroll mentions:
“We are delighted to be reopening for full evening service for the first time since the pandemic. The Bookshelf at The Elysian is a beautiful setting when its dark outside and we absolutely love to create that intimate evening atmosphere. Please book your table and allow us to take care of the rest.”
