Today’s an exciting day for Mahon Point as British Retail giant Frasers are set to open their doors.
Located directly below Sports Direct (which is also owned by the Frasers Group) the new department store will aim to fill the gap left by the departure of Debenhams back in 2020.
The brand first started off as a small shop back in 1982 in the UK and has since expanded to become a global brand stocking a multitude of both luxury and high-street labels, such as Jack Wills, Jimmy Choo, Tommy Hilfiger, Khloe Kardashian’s brand ‘Good American’, and more.
The Mahon Point store is the second Irish location opened by the group, following on from the recent opening of Frasers in Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge in Kildare, also previously occupied by Debenhams.
The arrival of the new 34,000 sq ft Frasers will be a significant boost to what is already Munster’s largest retail destination, which is now almost at full capacity once again. The store will sell everything from beauty products, fashion, lifestyle, accessories and childrenswear. Experts say that the products and delivery will be pitched at a market-level that’s just above Debenhams but below Brown Thomas.
The new Frasers store is set to open today (November 3rd) at 12 noon at Mahon Point Shopping Centre.
