There’s a massive beer festival at the Franciscan Well bar this weekend

And we can guarantee there will be plenty of ‘pitchers’ taken.

The weather forecast predicts this weekend will be the hottest of the year so far, so what better way to spend it than sipping craft beer in the vibey beer garden at Franciscan Well.

The ‘Not So Easter Beer Festival‘ promises to be a weekend of good beer, good music, good pizza and good craic! Taking place in May, a little later than usual (hence the name), the Easter Beer Festival has been a renowned favourite with beer enthusiasts for the last 25 years, and it’s gained a huge cult-following for obvious reasons.

Some of the finest breweries in Ireland will be rolling their kegs up that iconic alley for the weekend ahead, and include the likes of Rising Sons Brewery, Blacks Brewery, West Cork Brewing Company, Galway Bay Brewery and Whiplash Beer, to name but a few.

Guests will be able to sample from a plethora of incredible craft beers this weekend, from tropical IPAs, citrus pale ales and even a chocolate truffle stout. The beer garden will be transformed with as many taps as the eye can see, and it’ll give you some serious Octoberfest vibes.

Oh, and they’ll also be serving up delicious pizza from Pompeii located out back to ensure plenty of soakage. The event is completely free and takes place on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th from 1pm.
