A summer of festival-themed events are taking place at this city centre bar

Festival season is a-go!

The days are getting longer, the sun is getting stronger and festival season is upon us. If you didn’t manage to get tickets to any of this year’s gigs, or if muddy shoes and camping just isn’t your cup of tea, then this cork city bar has just the answer.

Conway’s Yard has just announced a summer of festival themed events kicking off this bank holiday weekend, and they sound fantastic to be quite honest.

Festival Season at Conway’s Yard is a new campaign that aims to bring all of the excitement, colour and energy of a music festival right into the heart of Cork city. They will be hosting live music several nights a week, featuring a variety of genres from pop to rock and everything in between.

At the end of each month, they’ll be hosting bigger festival events that will have all the fun and games of your favourite festival – with none of the muddy shoes or rain!

If you haven’t been to Conway’s Yard yet, you’ll soon discover that it’s one of Cork’s most unique and quirky venues. This tropical jungle style bar is hidden away from the public eye, offering an oasis-like spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

The venue truly has to be experienced to be understood: the open-air courtyard boasts an eclectic decor of hanging gardens, rustic furniture and some truly whacky one-off pieces that make for a unique experience upon every visit.

Upstairs you will find the jewel of the crown: Lemon Land, the home of the Chubbalicious – Cork’s cult cocktail. With a busy live music schedule featuring every genre under the sun (or lemon tree), themed nights and a cocktail menu that will tickle every fancy, these features combine to make Conway’s Yard a sure favourite for everyone, be they weekend warriors, pint lovers or live music lovers.

Conway’s Yard will soon be announcing a new partnership with Oak Fire Pizza, to bring an exclusive offering to Conway’s Yard patrons. From the comfort of your table, all you need to do is scan the QR code that will be exclusive to your table, and hey presto – your delicious pizza will be delivered right to your seat! Further details will be announced on Conway’s Yard socials soon.

You can find Conway’s Yard over on Oliver Plunkett Street and their first festival event kicks off this bank holiday weekend from Thursday – Sunday. Be sure to follow their Instagram for more info.
