Here’s what’s happening at The Imperial for Cork on a Fork Fest

They’ve pulled out all the stops this year!

The iconic 2023 Cork on a Fork Festival is just around the corner, returning to Leeside from 16-20 August.

The exciting annual food festival is jam-packed with over 100 amazing events from live entertainment to food trails and workshops. The food festival spanning five days gives festival-goers a chance to indulge in the delicious food and immerse themselves in the festival’s vibrant atmosphere.

With so much to do over the 5-day fest, it’s vital to take a look at the programme and prioritize the culinary extravaganzas. DiverCITY
Friday 18th August I  6pm I €40 for two people sharing

In association with Cork on a Fork food festival and to celebrate the culinary ‘DiverCITY’ in Cork City, The Imperial Hotel have joined forces with Virginia O’Gara from My Goodness in the English Market, Mike McGrath from renowned Japanese eatery Miyazaki and their very own Ali Honour, Executive Head Chef of The Imperial Hotel and No. 76.

On the night, diners will enjoy a three-tier ‘birdcage’ to share and a local craft beer per person. The birdcages will be filled with an eclectic mix of dishes with each tier designed by Virginia, Mike and Ali.

The event will take place in No.76 at The Imperial Hotel with Japanese, Tex-Mex and Cork inspired dishes using the very best of local produce including Cork Rooftop Farm.

One ticket is €40.00 for two people and covers a birdcage to share and a local craft beer per person. Booking fees apply.

Saturday 19th August I 2pm I €29 per person

Enjoy a cocktail-making demo with a superstar mixologist, Cal Byrne. Cal Byrne, Brand Ambassador for Diageo’s luxury spirits and World Class Lead, has over 10 years of experience in the trade. From Craft Beer to fine cocktails, Cal has spent time working and perfecting all aspects of the Drinks industry. Having placed in the Top 10 globally in World Class 2021 he has a wealth of knowledge and passion for cocktails and hospitality.

A Feast of Cork Fashion at Sketch
Sunday 20th August I 1-4pm I €50 per person

A feast of Cork fashion in one of the most instagrammable venues in Cork City – Sketch at The Imperial Hotel. This gorgeous event will kick off with a Kinsale Gin drinks reception, followed by a delicious late brunch, and will culminate with a fashion show featuring collections from Opera Lane & Cork city centre boutiques. 

The show will be MC’d by Daily Diva Diary’s Helen Queally and curated by Vivienne McCarthy.  Opera Lane Personal Shopper and Stylist Breeda O’Connell will also provide super Style Advice, giving you the tips & tricks to transition your wardrobe from late summer to early autumn. Finally, all guests will be treated to a goodybag!
