Caroline Street will be transformed into a kids playground this month

The smallies will love this one!

Play Lunch will be taking over Caroline Street this August as the street gets transformed into a giant playground for kids.

In association with ‘Cork on a Fork’, a new 5-day food festival taking place in venues all over the city, the Play Lunch event will take place on August 19th from 2pm-4pm.

Children young and old will be able to enjoy lunch and games on the street, with a bunch of Let’s Play Cork games and activities lined up for the day. Attendees will be able to enjoy the likes of giant Jenga, connect four, balance board games, tug of war, and more, all facilitated by an experienced coach.

Booking is not required for this event, however its important to note that these games wont be supervised, and parents are asked to be mindful throughout the duration of the lunch.

The Play Lunch is just one of the family-friendly events for ‘Cork on a Fork’, which also includes a family BBQ at Beasley Street, family pizza-making workshop at Oak Fire Pizza, and the bread and butter making workshop at the Butter Museum.

Check out the official website for the full line up of events taking place from August 17th – 21st.
