Warning: you’re going to be starving just looking at these
Is there anything more blissful than a spot of brunch with the squad?
With restaurants like Liberty Grill, 51 Cornmarket and Joe’s + Bros, we truly are spoiled for choice when it comes to brunchin’ out in the Real Capital.
Earlier in the week, we asked you guys to vote for your favourite brunch dishes in Cork. The votes have been counted and verified, and we can now reveal the 10 best brunch dishes in Cork (in no particular order):
1. Brunch Chips at 51 Cornmarket
You might have seen this one on our site a few weeks ago, and it’s easy to see why it’s made the top 10. Its chips, hollandaise, eggs, and bacon crumb. Need we say any more?
2. Peanut Butter Açai Bowl from Joe’s + Bros
Açai you baby! If you haven’t had an açai bowl yet, then you’re missing out. It’s a delicious, nutritious smoothie topped with granola, peanut butter, coconut, berries and banana. And its SO GOOD!
3. The Wafflehoff from Lab82
Lab82 are no strangers to our top 10 foodie lists, and the Wafflehoff is no exception. Buttermilk chicken, crispy bacon, and maple syrup on top of golden waffles. Need we say more?
4. Sweet Toast from Pink Moon
If savoury breakfasts aren’t your thing, then Pink Moon has got you covered. This peanut butter, vanilla yogurt, banana, cinnamon and raspberry toast should be enough to tempt you.
5. The Rebel Smoothie from No Sin
Similar to the Açai bowl from Joe’s + Bros, this raspberry-flavoured smoothie bowl is slightly thicker, packed full of protein and has a more generous serving of granola both at the base and on top.
6. Eggs Benedict from Liberty Grill
Arguably Cork’s favourite spot for brunch, this list wouldn’t be complete without eggs benny from beloved Liberty Grill. It’s poached eggs, crispy bacon, and hollandaise over sourdough bread. What’s not to love?
7. Butterscotch Bacon Frenchie from 51 Cornmarket
51 Cornmarket has made the list again with this sweet & savoury masterpiece. The French toast crumpet is stuffed with rich butterscotch and topped with crispy Cork bacon and a disc of house-made honeycomb butter. Take. My. Money!
8. The Notorious P.I.G. from Joe’s + Bros
Also making a second appearance to the list is Joe’s + Bros with their ever popular Notorious P.I.G sandwich. Dubbed ‘the king of brunch’ this absolute beast comes packed with egg, streaky rashers, cheese, West Cork black pudding, sriracha mayo and tater tots.
9. French Toast from The Anglers
Honestly, have you ever seen anything more incredible? The Anglers French toast comes topped with caramelised apple, blueberry compote, honey, toasted almonds, and a generous dollop of Chantilly cream.
10. Breakfast Bap from The Bookshelf
Last but by no means least we have the breakfast bap from the Bookshelf. It’s everything you’d want in a b-fast bap: streaky bacon, Rosscarbery black pudding, fried egg, hash brown, Gruyere cheesed and homemade tomato chutney in a brioche bun. Delish.
