These Cork pubs are serving up some delicious festive treats this month

We’ll take the lot!

Christmas is just around the corner, Mr Jack Frost has been making his grand appearance and the city is chock-a-block with shoppers working up an appetite thanks to the sweet aroma of warm cinnamon and mulled wine in the air.

If you’re searching for somewhere decent to fuel up then fear not because we’ve put together a list of our favourite spots to grab a winter warmer & a festive snack to warm the bones after a long day of shopping:

The Peppermint Patty

This sweet and creamy boozy beverage is a sure-fire way to warm up in the baltic weather. This tasty bad boy is made using Creme de Cacao, Creme de Menthe, hot chocolate and fresh cream. You can find one of these over at The Pav on Carey’s Lane.

Christmas Tacos

Whats better than tacos, you say? Christmas-themed tacos, that’s what! One of our favourites from the new festive menu has to be the ‘Navidad En Corcho Taco’, which comes with spiced beef, pickled slaw, jalapeños & mex creama on soft corn tortillas. You can try this for yourself over at The Black Dog on North Main Street.

Havana Club Hot Buttered Rum

This has got to be our favourite, and it’s made using a combination of (you guessed it) Havana Club Especial, butter mix, hot water, cinnamon and nutmeg. You can nab yourself one of these over at the Bodega on Cornmarket Street (they also do a MEAN hot port, too, and don’t forget to grab a selfie with their Jameson Christmas tree!)

Minced Pies & Spiced Ginger Stout Cake

It wouldn’t be Christmas without minced pies, and a hefty slice of ginger stout cake to go along with it. Head over to Arthur Mayne’s to try out some of these sweet treats after a long day’s shopping.
