Nestled on North Main Street, right next to BDSM, this intimate bar is old in character with a modern twist. Filled with candlelit tables and loved for its dark corners and cosy seating, the Vicarstown Bar is full of personality, and is the perfect setting for a romantic night on the tiles.
Built in 1840, the historic bar has one of the most legendary beer gardens and smoking areas in the city. The pub’s long and narrow dimensions are mirrored in the outside area, which is partly covered and warmed with heaters and an open fire, and it’s giving us some serious Manhattan dive bar vibes.
And what’s better, they make some of the tastiest cocktails in town, and this Valentines they’ve pulled out all the stops with a concoction that would tickle pink Harry Styles himself. The ‘Love you two’ Valentine’s special includes two watermelon margaritas for the price of one, at a cool €12.50.
The Vicarstown Bar also serves some delicious snacks (we recommend the pork tacos), has a resident DJ set up both inside and out, and bonus points if you can nab a selfie with Nemo in the saltwater fish tank!
