The Renedezvous has just launched a seriously tasty lunch menu

And you best believe we tried it out!

A Cork institution for many years, The Rendezvous has reopened with a new lease of
life under the expert eye of one of Ireland’s most well respected chefs, Pat Kiely.

Following its purchase earlier this year, the venue has recently been revamped to better
reflect its ambitious new menu and team. This modern, suburban bar cleverly combines the cosiness of a local pub with incredible food, sourced from superb local producers, to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

The Rendezvous now caters for groups large and small, with cosy and comfortable booths, dining areas, and high tables that make it perfect for every occasion, be it a birthday celebration or simply catching up and watching the match. They now also have a brand new covered outdoor terrace for sunnier days, and a new outdoor bar will also be in operation for big match days and events.

Head Chef Pat Kiely (formerly of the hugely popular ‘Les Gourmandises’, one of Ireland’s finest restaurants in recent times) has worked in several Michelin Star restaurants in Ireland and the UK, and brings his unrivalled talent and passion for Irish food to The Rendezvous.

Proudly supporting local food producers, the menu features the best of what Cork has to offer. Pat’s passion for great food is reflected in each and every item on the menu, in dishes that have been crafted with his unrivalled expertise and approach to creating a unique dining experience.

Some staple items on the new lunch menu include the 10oz McCarthy’s Angus beef burger, the West Cork seafood chowder with lemon and dill, the tagliatelle of smoked chicken, the buttermilk chicken burger with basil mayo, and the BBQ wings served in garlic and coriander honey (yum!)

If you’re after something sweet, they also have a seriously delectable dessert menu complete with a lemon posset served with fresh raspberries, a vanilla creme brûlée served with shortbread biscuit and a chocolate fondant served with caramel ice cream.

The Rendezvous currently serves lunch six days a week, Tuesday through Sunday, with an extended Sunday lunch service and menu. Dinner is served Thursday through Saturday and booking is encouraged online to avoid disappointment for this popular service.
