Upstairs late bar at The Pav opens this weekend with free movies, craft cocktails and DJ sets

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for.

After a long period of restoration and refurbishment, the highly anticipated Pavilion is finally ready for the second and final stage of their reopening.

Following last week’s successful soft-launch of Intermission cocktail lounge located downstairs, the over 23’s upstairs section of The Pav is now ready to open, and we couldn’t be more excited to see it in action.

The large upstairs area of Pavilion has been tastefully restored to its former glory, when it was once used as a movie theatre, this time with a twist. Transporting you back to where it all began back in the 20’s, you can expect comfy seating, high ceilings, ornate table lamps and plenty of vintage memorabilia.

To celebrate their grand reopening this weekend, upstairs at Pavilion will become a theatre in the evenings and will be playing four incredible movies from Friday – Sunday. Once each movie has finished (at around 11pm) a DJ will take to the stage, and the venue will transform into a late bar.

Here’s the full line-up for the weekend ahead:

Friday 14th:

‘Dirty Dancing’ at 9pm followed by DJ Keith Synnott till 2:30am

Saturday 15th:

‘Blues Brothers’ at 7pm, followed by ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ at 9:30pm, followed by DJ Roscoe till 2:30am

Sunday 16th:

‘A Star is Born’, 7pm

No bookings or tickets are required for the above movies, and they’re all completely free to watch so just show up, grab a drink, take a seat and enjoy the show! Doors open tomorrow (Friday 14th) at 5pm, and Intermission cocktail lounge downstairs will be open from 2pm.

You can find Pavilion over at 13 Carey’s Lane, and be sure to follow their journey on Instagram and Facebook.
