The first section of the Midleton to Youghal Greenway will open soon

It’s set to open next month!

Opening to the public on 7 th of March, the new Greenway has been constructed on the disused railway corridor between Midleton and Youghal.

The Midleton Youghal Greenway will be 23km long and will provide an off-road walking and cycling route through East Cork. This will be a welcome addition to the area, especially since the construction of the Greenway was delayed due to the pandemic.

Connecting the villages of Midleton, Mogeely, Killeagh, and Youghal, this new Greenway will be great for tourism and for attracting people to the area.

A video uploaded to YouTube by user DroneHawk shows what the Greenway looked like in July of 2023. Take a look below to see the route, and get your walking shoes ready for the start of March!
