Son of a Bun just revealed their new Burger of the Month

Get your tastebuds ready for this one!

Son of a Bun on MacCurtain Street is a firm favourite amongst Corkonians for many reasons – the cool, industrial interior; the friendly staff; and, of course, the food.

With an exciting menu that covers everything from dirty chicken burgers to kids’ mac and cheese, and classic beef burgers to warm brownies served with ice cream, it’s no surprise that the restaurant is a popular spot for people getting a bite to eat.

But wait, it gets better: as well as their varied menu, Son of a Bun introduces a new burger every month. Each monthly special features a combination of flavours and ingredients that you’ve always dreamed of – or even flavours you didn’t think could work together.

Think the ‘Honey Monster’, a beef patty topped with honey & mustard sauce and crispy onions drizzled with honey & chilli; or think the ‘Love Actually’ Christmas burger, a 3oz patty with cheddar cheese, a crispy slaw, slow-cooked marinated turkey, and more.

One burger of the month became so popular that the restaurant brought it back on their menu for another while: ‘The Chipper’ burger – curry sauce, cheese & onion potato pie sandwiched between two 3oz patties, both topped with cheddar cheese, mushy peas and garlic mayo, in a brioche bun. That’s certainly a mouthful, but a delicious one!

Now it’s time for Son of a Bun’s August burger: ‘The Inferno’. Over on their Instagram, they describe that the burger comes with the following: jalapeño popper ball, sweet chilli jam, deep fried onion strips, 3oz patty topped with double American cheese and jalapeños, 3oz patty topped with American cheese and green chillis – it’s all steamed together on the grill and served on a brioche bun with mayo.

Get it while you can!
