Cork’s first coffee-fulled ‘Run and Rave’ is taking place this weekend

“This event is the ultimate celebration of a healthy lifestyle—exercise and dance combined”

Taking place this Sunday, Cork’s first ‘Run and Rave’ promises to be the ultimate celebration of wellness.

Organised by You Are What You Wear (YAWUW) founder Angela O’Donnell, in collaboration with The Black Market, Soma Coffee, Alpha Gym and All About Kombucha, attendees will meet their Run Leaders (the team from Alpha Gym) at the Black Market at 9am on Sunday June 23rd.

The event will kick off with a 5K run (or walk) up to the Pier Head and back, after which they will be met with coffee and treats provided by Soma + Kombucha, followed by a 2-hour DJ set by DJ Tara Casey.

In addition to this, attendees will also receive 20% discount voucher for YAWUW clothing, along with one tree planted for every purchase.

Speaking to Craving Cork about the event, Angela O’Donnell mentions:

“I believe most people try to take the rounded approach to living a sustainable lifestyle – a little bit of everything and not too much of anything. We are amatuer athletes ourselves and music is an integral part of our lives.

“Our playlists pump us up, motivates us to keep going and makes us happy! Bringing your playlist to the dance floor after your run, I think, is the ultimate sustainable lifestyle event and what a better way to start your Sunday morning!”

Tickets for the event cost €15 and can be purchase via the official website here.
