Because novelty soap is always a great gift idea!
A brand new pop-up soap shop has appeared in the city this month, and it’s the perfect go-to if you’re searching for that last minute Kris Kringle, or something to fill the stocking of your significant other this Christmas.
Suds Johnson, a Cork-based handmade soap company, specialises in natural, ethically-sourced soaps, lotions and shampoos, and they have just set up their brand new pop-up soap shop on Douglas Street for the festive season.
Suds Johnson recipes are designed primarily to help users with sensitive skin, and even have odourless and colourless soaps & lotion bars for those with extra sensitivity.
They have a range of tongue-in-cheek-esque products to choose from, guaranteed to put a smile on even the Grinch himself, such as the Hows She Cuttin’ Shaving Bar, the Fresh as Phuck deodorant and Lucky Langer soap bar (and we won’t even go into detail about the penis-shaped soap bars!)
According to Mr. Suds Johnson himself, “Each of our products is carefully designed and crafted with the intention of leaving a no trace outcome. What this means is that when you buy and use our products, you can wash away your worries knowing that you’re having a positive impact on the environment, it’s as simple as that.
All our ingredients are natural and when used, leave no trace. That way it helps you, your local environment and exchange for this simple idea, gives your children and grandchildren an opportunity to live a happy life with less waste and more ways to adventure.”
You can check out the full selection (which is very reasonably priced) at their new pop-up shop at 43A Douglas Street, located inside the Notes to Cork shop.
