This is just what the city needs!
A planning application has been submitted to Cork City Council for the development of a new food court at the Paul Street Shopping Centre.
Holren Properties Ahall Ltd is requesting permission to transform the current first-floor retail space into a dedicated food court. The proposed design includes the addition of four new food kiosks with kitchen areas, one movable food kiosk, a staff bathroom, and a communal dining space.
The plan also involves removing an existing glazed balcony wall inside the centre, to be replaced with a partition and toughened glass on top.
The application comes after beloved coffee brand Guji opened up a new cafe on the ground floor a few weeks back, along with Suits.ie and The French Tacos, which has already given the street a new lease of life.
The application is currently in pre-validation stage, and Cork City Council is due to make a decision on the development by November 4th.
