Having reopened its doors at the end of 2022, The Liberty Bar on South Main Street is one of Cork’s newest bars, with a separate cocktail lounge upstairs known as ‘Resistance’. The team are committed to providing a safe space for guests to showcase as much of Corks Cultural Community as possible.

Speaking to Craving Cork about the new open mic night, manager Stephen mentions:

“We hope to get people from all walks of life in to enjoy and open and relaxed atmosphere, where they can contribute if they are up for it, and just enjoy the evening if not.”

They host regular art shows for local artists, open mic nights for comedy, poetry and storytelling and even offer rehearsal space for local DJ’s and drama groups, and its the perfect spot for midweek catchups.

You can check it out for yourself tonight (Thursday May 4th) and every second Thursday over at the Liberty Bar on South Main Street.
