Doesn’t get more Irish than that!
If you’re a fan of traditional Irish music and dance then you’re in luck, because the Old Oak is now hosting free weekly trad sessions.
Taking place every Wednesday starting in June, the Old Oak on Oliver Plunkett Street will be working with The Celtic Dance Company to bring live traditional music and dance to the city all summer long.
Speaking to Craving Cork about the new event, Michael O’Keeffe of Old Oak mentions:
“Our trad nights are for everyone, which means no entry fee and no need to book, just walk in and have a great time. The events will start on Wednesday, June 5th, at 8 PM and will continue throughout the summer, every week at 8pm Wednesday.
“Our aim is to give everyone in Cork a fun Wednesday evening out, enjoying some great music and soaking up a fantastic atmosphere or if some are feeling adventurous, have a jig themselves by the stage.”
You can catch a trad session for yourself over at Old Oak every Wednesday over the summer from 8pm.
