It’s in full swing ’till Sunday!
With National Heritage Week taking place this week, from the 17th to the 25th of August, we know you’ve been up to some interesting and possibly unusual activities in both Cork City and County – learning more about heritage, meeting new people, and maybe getting out of
your comfort zone.
This year’s theme for the week is ‘Connections, Routes and Networks,’ but what exactly is heritage? Heritage is what is inherited from the past, can be valued in the present, and is to be preserved for future generations. Examples of heritage include our waterways, landscapes, native wildlife, customs, sports, music, crafts, and so much more.
With this in mind, here are some unique events happening in Cork that we think you should definitely check out! You can find more information regarding free events, tickets (if needed), and any additional info on the National Heritage Week website.
