We truly are blessed with Christmas markets this year.
This weekend Nano Nagle Place are launching their 3-week series of Christmas Markets.
The first official market kicks off this Sunday (December 5th) with a ‘Community Market’ which will showcase the creative work of different charities and community groups from around Cork City.
One of Nano Nagle Place’s educational projects, The Lantern Community Project will have a stall showcasing the work of their Crochet Group who will be selling dolls, tea cosies, wreaths and other beautiful crafts.
The market will also be welcoming ‘Saoirse – Ethnic Hands on Deck‘, a textile cooperative born through the Sanctuary Mask Initiative set up by Cork Migrant Centre (which is one of Nano Nagle’s on-site educational projects) during the start of the Covid-19 lockdowns.
You can also catch some fantastic charities on the day, including Rehoming Cork Pets, who provide rescue homes for the care and treatment of abused, neglected, abandoned and homeless animals. SERVE will also be in attendance at the markets, and any donations on the day will go to providing equal support.
That’s not all, they’ll also have a stall for the foodies with Green + the Grain setting up shop, serving the tastiest vegetarian & vegan treats like grain based salads, vegetarian sausage rolls and vegan curries.
The Community Christmas Market will take place from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 5th of December in Nano Nagle Place, followed by the Food & Crafts Market on the 12th and the Designers Market on the 19th.
