If your mammy has a sweet tooth (and they almost always do) then she’ll be thrilled to know that the hotel is running a special Mother’s Day afternoon tea offer that’s guaranteed to make her feel like the ‘Grande Dame’ that she is (do you see what we did there?)
The savoury part of this three tier culinary delight comes with a selection of bite-sized sandwiches and hors d’oeuvres, including an Ardsallagh goats’ cheese and roast pepper tart, a smoked salmon sandwich with crème fraiche, dill, and pickled cucumber, and poached hens egg and crispy pancetta in a brioche bun, to name but a few.
And now for the sweet stuff.
If you’ve saved room for dessert, the sweeter side of this afternoon indulgence comes with a pornstar martini verrine, a miniature Bailey’s and strawberry vanilla Swiss roll, a mixed berry heart, a banoffee chox bun, and every mother’s favourite, a classic golden raisin scone.
Served at 1pm and 3pm on Mother’s Day, this offer is now available for €45 per person, and it also comes with a glass of prosecco!
And if afternoon tea isn’t really your mother’s thing, they also have some great offers in their swanky new cocktail bar, Sketch. You can nab a tasty birdcage sharing platter for two people sharing plus 2 cocktails at Sketch for €50, with each additional person charged at €25.
Guests can choose two world class cocktails from the extensive drinks menu, and can choose either a seafood, charcuterie, cheese, meat or vegan birdcage platter to share. Bookings can be made in advance here, and walk-ins are also welcome on the day.
