Taking place in the stunning Pavilion bar on Carey’s Lane, ‘Talking Heads’ by London Astrobeat Orchestra will be coming to Cork city for a gig not to be missed.
The London Astrobeat Orchestra have ignited a movement where cult western band repertoires are blended with African influences and have made quite an impact in doing so.
The band bring together the finest West African session musicians in the UK with legendary band leader & bassist Edd Bateman hosting rhythmic influences from Senegal, Guinea Conakry, Mali, Nigeria and Congo.
Selling out their first 4 debut shows at The Jazz Café, London, the band were affectionately nicknamed the ‘African Talking Heads’.
The gig will take place next Wednesday July 19th upstairs at The Pav on Carey’s Lane. Doors open at 8pm and the show kicks off at 8:30. Tickets cost €20 and can be purchased online here.
