Here’s what’s on the menu at Cork’s newest brunch spot

Another great one to add to the list!

After serving up delicious meals earlier this summer in a lovely outdoor space, Probys Kitchen has opened its café and restaurant for indoor dining – just in time for the chillier months!

Only a stone’s throw away from both Elizabeth Fort and St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral and situated on Proby’s Quay, Cork’s newest eatery is a welcome addition to the food capital.

Probys Kitchen is open every day of the week from 8am to 3pm and serves breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday and breakfast and brunch on the weekends. Breakfast is served from 8am onwards, 7 days a week, while their midweek lunch starts at 12 midday and their weekend brunch starts at 11am.

The menus at Probys Kitchen feature lots of different mouth-watering options – good portion sizes, a nice few gluten-free and vegan options, and dishes from all over the world.

Breakfast options include a chilli fried egg bap, organic merry mill oat porridge, house granola with Greek yogurt, coconut French toast, pancetta hash, field mushrooms and feta toast, sweet potato & black bean fritters, ricotta pancakes, harissa eggs, and more.

The vibe for lunch features Asian chicken broth, soup, wild rice and quinoa salad, black eye bean and mushroom curry, wild rice & quinoa salad, pappardelle pasta, teriyaki tempeh burger, featherblade on sourdough, as well as some other gorge options.

Since Probys Kitchen is led by Marianne and Denis from Café Gusto and Liberty Grill, as well as Pat Browne, formerly of Ballymaloe Cookery School, you know that the food is going to be top quality. Dare we say it: chef’s kiss!

As well as the incredible food, the interior of Probys Kitchen is inviting, cosy, and elegant. With wooden seats, leather benches, and the classiest salt and pepper shakers we’ve ever seen, Probys Kitchen is definitely a space to relax, unwind, and catch up on all the latest goss – while you stuff your face with some of the finest food Cork has to offer. Sounds like the perfect catch up to us!

You can find Proby’s Kitchen over at Proby’s Quay right across from Saint Finn Barre’s Cathedral.
