The iconic pink shipping container is no more.
Beloved coffee shop GUJI announced yesterday that they will be permanently closing their Marina Market location.
Located outside the market on the Centre Park Road, GUJI has been a part of the Marina Market family since they first opened back in September 2020 – in fact, they were actually the first vendor to operate there!
Sharing the news on social media, GUJI reminds its followers that they’ll still be operating in their new location on Paul Street:
“From Meshi, Alan and all the team at GUJI, Thank you to all the customers who visited us in Marina Market over the past 4 years and 16 weeks.
It’s time to move on.
If you haven’t been already, we look forward to welcoming you to our shop in Paul Street, Cork where you will see the same team, and hopefully we will see you in more GUJI stores in the future as we continue to expand.
We loved being part of the Marina Markets birth. We were the first tenants there and we have been so grateful to all of you customers who supported us during Covid and since then. We can’t believe we managed to stay this long and trade as well as we did from a small 20ft container. It has been a blast.
Here’s to the next chapter. Love from Meshi, Alan and all the team.”
