This sounds delightful!
You’ll be so ready for autumn after the “Gourds & Grazing” day at Dripsey Castle. Taking place on the 13th of October, this event will feature two different autumn-inspired workshops as well as a lovely lunch to keep you fuelled for the day.
Starting in the morning, the first class will involve making a beautiful centrepiece for your autumnal table. Learn from the master flowersmith, Jill Wild, and your own creation will be something every visitor to your house will admire. The centrepiece that you put together will be made from a collection of autumnal harvests, flowers, and foraged natural pieces. Dreamy!
The second class during the day will be a charcuterie workshop with Sarah McGree, aka The Wild Grazer. Following Sarah’s lead, your finished product will be a 10-inch round cheese board with all the food included – a variety of Irish cheese, charcuterie, and accompaniments.
The contents of the board will serve 2 to 4 people, so there’ll be enough to enjoy on the day itself and still have more to take home! You’ll also get a cute box to transport your charcuterie masterpiece home safely. And if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also get a jar of G’s Gourmet Jam, locally harvested honey, and drizzler to take home as well!
You’ll be starving after using all your creativity, so luckily for you, an amazing lunch buffet will be served in the afternoon by Bryan Phelan from The Village Deli & Café.
Dripsey Castle’s “Gourds & Grazing” event is a great way to try something new, catch up with a friend, and even learn a new skill or two!
Limited tickets for “Gourds & Grazing” are available for €180 and can be found on Dripsey Castle’s website here.
