Introducing Di Massa: Cork’s new handmade artisan pasta delivery service

You’re going to want to try this!

There’s a difference between store-bought pasta and real pasta, and if you haven’t had real pasta, then you’re truly missing out.

We caught up with Diego Troncoso, a Chilean man who brought his handmade pasta delivery business to Cork. Using local ingredients and bio-compostable packaging, Di Massa is an artisan pasta delivery service whereby customers can order fresh tortellini, tagliatelle, gnocchi and sauces for collection or delivery to their doorstep.

And trust us when we say these sound INCREDIBLE!

Speaking to Craving Cork about his business, Diego mentions:

“I came to Ireland three years ago from Chile to learn English for three months, but fell in love with Cork and the Irish people. I have since made a home for myself here and while I have been working in Cork restaurants, I have recently reignited my passion project – Di Massa – which translates into “the dough”.

“I am a qualified civil engineer, who retrained in culinary school in Santiago. I established Di Massa in my home city where it was very successful, and I even featured on a national television programme, where I showcased my chef skills. Since then I have worked as a chef both in South America and Europe.

“My hope is that the Di Massa experience is one where our customer can appreciate not only our delicious flavours, but also the quality, care, and passion put into making each and every batch.”

“Pasta has always been my true passion. I love to experiment with new flavours and so Di Massa offers unique, artisanal, completely handmade pasta that is restaurant quality, and prepared in minutes in the comfort of your own home.”

Di Massa currently offers 7 different varieties of tortellini. One of their most popular tortellini is beetroot dough stuffed with pumpkin, cream cheese, rosemary and walnuts.

Also popular on the menu is their classic tortellini stuffed with shredded fillet steak, the shrimp and red onion in squid ink tortellini, and the black sesame tortellini stuffed with salmon and chive cream.
