Design POP will be returning to Cork next month

It’ll be an epic weekend of art, design, architecture and food!

The highly anticipated Design POP festival will be returning to Cork this September, taking place from Friday 1st – 3rd September.

This exciting event will be held at Nano Nagle Place, Douglas Street, promising to be a weekend long celebration of architecture and design through a series of architectural pavilions, events, and conversations across Cork City.

This year’s festival’s themes are ‘Urban Regeneration’ and ‘Collaboration amongst the creative community’, and festival founder Amy McKeogh is excited to see the return of the festival, mentioning:

“The themes this year are to reflect on the current situation our urban areas are in while engaging the Creative Community for potential solutions. The Design POP Festival 2023 HQ will be in Nano Nagle Place – a gorgeous oasis in the city and has been part of the festival since the beginning, so it felt right to have it as the heart of the festival this year.”

The Design POP team are focused on improving this year’s festival, following a successful launch in 2019, and a second festival held in 2021. This year, a variety of ticket types are available to accommodate everyone, including a weekend pass that gains you access to all the events over the weekend, individual day passes that grant you access to each day and along with individual tickets for each of the main events.

Ticket holders can look forward to an immersive, vibrant weekend in Cork, where architecture and design take centre stage. From innovative installations to thought-provoking exhibitions, this festival promises to ignite your imagination and inspire new perspectives.

Design POP 2023 – Architecture and Design Festival takes place from the 1st – 3rd of September. You can check out the full line up of events and purchase tickets on the Design POP website here.
