DeCarteret is hosting a pyjama party in Cork next week

Talk about a comfy night out!

Selected earlier in the summer as one of District Magazine’s Future Of Irish Music 2023 artists (alongside the likes of Curtisy, Moio and Qbanaa), DeCarteret is a new artist from County Clare, who makes vibey lo-fi beats and classical music.

Having released a string of tracks over the past couple of years, DeCarteret is now ready to reveal her debut EP – a record themed around the good and bad side of childhood reminiscences.

Including recent singles ‘Trip Me’, ‘Icarus’ and ‘Jerry’, Crying & C**ming On The Bathroom Floor sees her collaborate with the musical community of which she has become such a vital part. The likes of Ahmed With Love and Khakikid featured on ‘Icarus’ – as do long time musical soulmates Bricknasty on the stark, startling focus track ‘Belly’.

In keeping with her music’s concepts, the singer’s live shows take you on a journey into a world of bubbles, face painting, temporary tattoos and the breaking of the barriers between performer and crowd.

This – and more – will be evident at a special pyjama party listening event around the EP’s release in Cork next week. DeCarteret invites the audience to bring their sleepover gear and settle in for an evening of R&B, pop and indie, the nights will feature some of the UK and Ireland’s most exciting new artists alongside a full live performance of the project.

Sound interested? You can take part in this epic pyjama party over at the Old Oak on Friday September 15th. Tickets cost €11.14 and can be reserved via Eventbrite here.
