Culture Night will be talking place in Cork city & county on Friday

It’s set to be one helluva night this year.

Culture Night will be making its grand return to the streets of Cork this Friday, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Every year, on the third Friday of September, Culture Night takes place in Cork and celebrates all that makes up the richness and diversity of Irish culture today. Since it first began way back in 2006, the national public event has become a highly anticipated date in the calendar, shining a spotlight on everything that’s truly unique and magnificent about our culture.

The city will be bustling with excitement and atmosphere on the night, with a plethora of special and unique events, workshops, tours, music, arts, theatre and much more. The free, family-focused events will be held across a diverse range of venues in the Cork, and people are urged to get out and immerse themselves on the night.

Speaking about the event, Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr. Deirdre Ford mentions:

“Culture in all its genres lifts our spirits, so I’m absolutely delighted to see how inclusive, and how suitable for all ages, our Culture night on September 23rd will be. It’s family friendly and entirely free… be prepared to enjoy yourself”
