Here’s the lowdown on what’s happening for Cork Pride 2024

Are you ready to serve?

Cork Pride 2024 will take place from the end of July to the start of August, and it promises be a multi-coloured festival of joy, acceptance, and celebration.

And what better way to get in the mood for it than these upcoming events – from running, tag rugby, and meditation to plants, bingo, and film nights, there’s so much happening this year in Cork!

Kicking off the events this year on the 27th of July is ‘Cork Pride: Pride on Tour’. This is a great event for anyone who’s living far from town or can’t make it to the Cork City parade on the 4th of August, as ‘Pride on Tour’ is exactly what it says on the tin.

Watch out for a parade packed with music, different groups, drag queens, and more all making its way from the Port of Cork to Fermoy and stopping at Mallow, New Twopothouse, Buttevant, and Mitchelstown along the way!

Another event to look out for on the 27th of July is ‘Our Haus Party’ – a night filled with dance, drag, and good craic. Taking place in the Kino at 8:30pm, the night promises to be full of celebratory tunes and well-known classics.

It will be quite a special event, as two iconic drag houses will perform together: Cork’s Our Haus and Dublin’s Haus of Wig. Keep an eye out for your favourite queens, especially Naomi Diamond, Mia Gold, Shaqira Knightly, Letycha Le’synn, Donna Fell, and Liam Bee. You can find tickets on their Eventbrite page here.

If you’re feeling quizzical, there’s also an epic Pride Trivia Night on August 1st. Aptly titled Gayze Games, the event will be hosted by queen Letycha, Le’Synn and takes place at The Gay Project from 6pm – 9pm. Entry is free but you must book your slot via the Eventbrite link, here.
