The Cork and Kerry Food Market returns on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November 2024, bringing foodie heaven to Cork City Hall.
The market showcases the best of artisan and local food and drink, giving visitors a chance to discover, taste, explore, and learn why Cork and Kerry have earned their reputation as an international hub of food excellence! With over 80 stands and two live stages, hosted by well-known Cork food writers Caroline Hennessy and Cathy Fitzgibbon, it’s set to be an unmissable event!
Explore the Mail Hall, where you’ll discover something for everyone—from jam makers and specialist bakers to distillers, brewers, chocolatiers, urban farmers, chefs, sweet makers, spice specialists… and so much more. There’s a wide variety of producers, each with their own unique story to share. It’s a great opportunity to meet and be inspired by your local producers.
Live Events on Two Stages
The Cork & Kerry Food Market is heaven for foodies, featuring two live stages with demonstrations and seminars every 30 minutes throughout both days. Watch top chefs in action as they prepare dishes in our culinary theatre in the Millennium Hall, hosted by award-winning Cork author and broadcaster, Caroline Hennessy. It’s an interactive event, giving the audience a chance to ask questions and pick up some fantastic culinary tips along the way!
Here’s the full lineup for the weekend:
On stage in the foyer hall, Cork food writer and educator Cathy Fitzgibbon, also known as ‘The Culinary Celt,’ will be hosting a variety of talks and seminars. These will cover topics such as food science, technology, food business, and education, with guest speakers from University College Cork, Teagasc, and Cork Chamber of Commerce.
You’ll also hear from food specialists discussing nutrition, healthy eating, lifestyle, and even beekeeping! Plus, there’ll be plenty of fun with cocktail-making demonstrations and the chance to perfect your coffee-making skills with expert tips from top baristas!
