It’s almost that time of year again!
Cork is gearing up for it’s busiest weekend of the year, and this year Cork Heritage Pubs are hosting a city-wide Jazz Club festival with a collection of events, promotions and epic jazz music across twelve of their most popular venues.
Speaking to Craving Cork about the jazz festival, Kevin McCoy of Cork Heritage pubs mentions:
“This year our Jazz club is going to be bigger and better than ever. Here’s the lowdown on what’s happening at each venue:
The Pavilion & Intermission
Experience the Pav in a whole new light. This iconic venue now offers a vibrant atmosphere with cocktails, DJs, and more. Jazz-goers can take a break and unwind with scintillating Jazz in Intermission or simply party the night away upstairs in one Corks most beautiful venues. Full lineup here.
Crane Lane Theatre
Crane Lane Theatre, the jazz and blues mecca of Cork, is a must-visit for the big weekend. With a lineup that’s as electrifying as a blues guitar solo, this venue is the perfect place to experience the magic of live music. See the lineup here. The Old Town Whiskey Bar at Bodega
Bodega back and ready to ignite Cork Jazz Festival 2024! After last year’s unforgettable performances, the Bodega is returning to blow the roof off the place once again. Cantys
Join Cantys as they celebrate their third Jazz Festival and experience the magic of live music in an all-new upgraded venue. The team have been working hard to create a truly special atmosphere, with a cozy snug area and a revamped stage. The Poor Relation
The Poor Relation Is back again this year for the jazz season, it’s guaranteed good craic. The unique stage area will be full of groovers and punters so make sure to get in early for a good spot. Their snugs will be packed and the atmosphere will be second to none. Full lineup here.
Sin É
Sin É, the iconic home of traditional Irish music in Cork, is set to transform into a temporary house of jazz during the Cork Heritage Pubs City-wide Jazz Festival 2024. This unique collaboration promises to be a highlight of the festival, bringing together two beloved genres in a truly special setting. The Vicarstown & Black Dog Taqueria
The Vicarstown & Black Dog Taqueria are back once again for Jazz 2024, two bars, different vibes with one shared beer garden, this is the ultimate hangout spot. The Vicarstown & Black Dog are bot open late all weekend from Thursday onwards. Live DJs & Bands all day long, see the full lineup here. What’s more, food will be available until 11PM each evening.
Rising Sons Brewery
Rising Sons have an absolutely stellar line-up this year. It all starts on Thursday evening with a retro games night with DJs, Fight Club is back in Rising Sons Brewery. Relax all weekend, take in some sport and listen to some captivating music. Check out the full line-up here.
The Park
The Park is getting jazzy once again with acts on all weekend long, there’s going to some delicious pints and the entertainment will be next level. It will be just another stop on the #CorkHeritageJazzTrail2024. The staff are super excited to welcome you in the doors for what promises to be an amazing weekend.
Artys Bar Ballincollig
If you don’t want to partake in the madness that is Cork city centre over Jazz Weekend, then look no further than Arty’s Bar in Ballincollig.
