The Metropole is taking on 50 new staff for the Jazz Weekend

They’re gearing up for one of the busiest weekends of the year!

The Metropole Hotel is set to host two recruitment open days as it looks to hire 50 team members for this year’s Cork Jazz Festival.

The hotel, which is home to the Jazz Festival Club, is hiring experienced bar staff, floor staff, cloakroom staff and cleaning attendants.

The first recruitment open day will be held at the hotel on McCurtain Street on Thursday, October 3rd while the second takes place on Wednesday, October 9th. Both events are open from 1pm to 7pm and people are asked to bring their CV and references when attending.

Strategic Director of HR at Trigon Hotels, Kathleen Linehan said: 

“The Metropole Hotel is the original home of the Cork Jazz Festival and we are, once again this year, bringing an exciting line-up of diverse artists to the hotel right across the October Bank Holiday weekend. We have live musical performances on five different stages along with dining packages which includes dinner and entry to the Cork Jazz Club.

“It’s the busiest time of the year for the hotel and we are looking for experienced people to join our dedicated team for this exciting weekend and beyond into the Christmas period.”
