Cork is about to get a brand new weekly LGBT+ club night

This is JUST what the city needed!

Cork city’s thriving nightlife just got a brand new LGBT addition, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Having noticed a gap in the market for a trendy, diverse, and upscale LGBT+ venue open on Sundays, Benny McCabe of Cork Heritage Pubs and daughter Saoirse decided to launch their own at their classy new venue, The Pav.

The new club night, aptly named ‘OUT!’ will take place every Sunday upstairs at Pavilion Bar on Carey’s Lane and will be Cork’s newest LGBT night. Each week will have a different theme and host, and they’ll be screening a different iconic chick flick every week as a pre-show to kick the night off.

The launch night will be taking place on Sunday April 23rd hosted by the legendary Paul Ryder. The night will start off with a screening of ‘Clueless’ at 7pm, followed by the launch party at 9pm, and DJ Julz on the decks from 11pm – 2am.

Speaking to Craving Cork about the new club night, Saorise McCabe mentions:

“We are delighted to launch OUT! and have a dedicated safe space for the community every Sunday ’till late. The Pav team and I are looking forward to working with talent locally, nationally and internationally and we have a lot of exciting plans and events coming up!

I am personally LIVING for our Y2K themed night which will be taking place on April 30th. We are always looking for new artists and performers so if anyone wants to collaborate with us, please reach OUT!”

This insanely beautiful venue with its high ornate ceiling offers a classy alternative for the LGBT+ community and has plenty of seating, tables and booths across three different levels, all facing the main stage and screen. The Pav also prides themselves on exceptional craft cocktails, and they’ll have some exciting drink specials on the night.

You can find the new OUT! club night at Careys Lane every Sunday, and be sure to follow the Pav’s Instagram for weekly updates on themes, performers and hosts.
