This sounds incredibly brew-tiful.
The Rising Sons Brewery clearly knows a thing or two about beer.
Since 2015, the beloved Cork microbrewery has won a whopping 21 gold medals in the World Beer Awards, their ‘Changeling’ Ale was voted best in the world back in 2018, AND their ‘Dreamcatcher’ pale golden ale was voted best in the world not once, but twice.
And thankfully for us, they’ve just come up with a brand new seasonal beer to tickle our tastebuds and honesty, it sounds DELISH!
The new ‘Vanilla Milk Stout’ (4.6%) is bursting with flavours of coffee and chocolate, and has warm, creamy vanilla finish. Unlike the traditional draught stouts that we’re all used to, this new modern stout is actually lightly carbonated, which gives it a remarkably smooth texture and makes it very easy to drink.
And if stout isn’t really your thing, they’re also releasing ‘Wild Card’, an extra-pale ale (4.5%) for the Spring season ahead. Hopped with citra, strata and nelson hops, ‘Wild Card’ extra-pale ale has an abundance of tropical flavours of pineapple, mango and gooseberry (…I don’t know about you, but I can definitely see myself sipping on one of these in the sun this summer!)
The family-owned microbrewery also serves authentic Italian-style pizzas, made in-house and fresh to order, as well as cheesy nachos, charcuterie boards, and they even have their own brand of gin.
The dimly-lit bar has casual, laid-back vibes and you can bet they’ll be playing the six nations on one of the largest HD screens in Cork. Perfect for afterwork drinks or a beer-sampling date night, most people come here for the beer and stay for the atmosphere.
You can get the Rising Sons experience for yourself over on Cornmarket Street, right across from the Bodega, and you can book a table in advance here.
(PS Craving Cork will be trying out the beer and grub over at Rising Sons this weekend, so keep an eye on our socials for the full experience!)
